home remedy for cold

Fall is here and along with it comes MR. COLD and MRS. FLU  ;-(  If you've been touched by their claws, try this home remedy.  It works for me every time.

Ingredients:

1 serving

- 1 1/2 cups of filtered water
- 4 slices of lime or lemon
- fresh ginger slices
- honey to taste

In a sauce pan, pour water in, add the lime slices, then put in a couple slices of ginger and bring to boil. The more ginger the better ! I usually have about 8 or 9 slices in there. The taste can be pungent so add only what you can handle. Pour the boiled ginger/lime water into a mug and add honey to taste.

When I noticed the ichy feeling in my throat and sinus pain, I usually double up the recipe and drink all within an hour sitting. Works for me every single time !
